 Dr. Land has always been keen on math and science as a youngster, in 1999 she pursued Mathematics at Queens' College, Cambridge. She continued reading about astronomy topics, and after three years, changed her major to Astrophysics and went to study at the Institute of Astronomy. Her Doctoral thesis was 'Exploring anomalies in the Cosmic Microwave Background' in 2006 and won her the RAS Michael Penston Astronomy thesis prize. She is currently part of the Astrophysics group in Oxford, and appeared on The Sky At Night with Sir Partrick Moore on 5/5/08. |
